Part of the cultural landscape in Düsseldorf is a cross-cultural celebration with Japan, Japan Day. Afew, the city’s goto sneaker shop is always ready to celebrate from exhibitions to collab sneakers. Last year, Afew revised its 2012 Koi edition edition of the Asics Gel Lyte III for the occasion.
For 2016, Afew has developed the Koi theme to go beyond the kicks with the “Future Koi” Capsule Collection. Created with German outdoor gear label Heimplanet, the collection includes a backpack, t-shirt and five panel cap. The Koi theme is achieved on the range with a brand new koi camo created by Afew with Dutch artist Kwills, using koi fish patterns and colors.
The Bag is made of a Ballistic Nylon & Suede and can be used as a backpack or a messenger bag. It holds 22l. With two stowable shoulder straps and an additional single strap, you can transform the backback easily into a messenger bag. The Bag also features two stowable webbings with G-Hooks which allow you to fasten extra stuff on the front panel. The integrated laptop sleeve has its own access on the right side.
The Shirt is made of 100% extreme durable combed cotton and features the Koi Camo Print on the front as well as the Afew & the Heimplanet Logo.
The Cap comes with a soft suede Upper and feature the Koi Camouflage as well at the lining and the Afew and the Heimplanet Logo at the Front.
The collection is scheduled to drop on Japan Day (21st of May) at Afew.
